I'm obsessed with healthy food finds. My favourite pastime is taking long romantic walks around new grocery stores.
I spent years feeling constantly hungry and tired. Always thinking about my next snack or coffee. Adding protein, fiber and healthy fats to my meals changed my life for the better. I didn't hit an afternoon wall, and I would go about my days without obsessing over food.
A few years into my healthy eating journey, I became chronically bloated. Couldn't figure out why, since I was eating healthy. Lots of high-protein snacks since I was busy studying engineering. I eventually learned that innovative high-fiber/low-sugar ingredients like inulin fiber or erythritol were actually super stressful on my digestive system. Hence the bloat and pain.
As I transitioned to a whole-foods based lifestyle, my bloat went away and I kept that smooth sharp energy. I was then on the hunt for high-protein snacks without fillers, and the breakfast category fell short! Enter: the happy era waffles.
Rich in protein, fiber and healthy fats, made with just the good stuff.

In my third year of engineering, my prof gave us a project: “develop something innovative and sustainable.”
I can’t build things, I can’t wire a circuit, and I just don’t like working on robots. But I do like “building” new things in the kitchen. It was that weird hobby I had as a kid, and I finally had the chance to put it to use.
As a student, I was struggling to stay full on campus all day. I was constantly snacking, feeling up and down, and couldn’t curb my sweet tooth. I tried switching out my waffles and breakfast cookies for protein bars, but they tasted like chalk and started to irritate my stomach.
I used whole foods with a focus on healthy fats, fibre and protein to provide lasting energy. I made it my mission to make my waffles the textbook definition of the opposite of chalk. Whatever that means.
My classmates loved the waffles & my prof encouraged me to turn it into a business. I never looked back! CYA NEVER CALCULUS!
No matter who you are or what you do, we're here to empower you.
Yours truly,
Domenique
